Bone-crushing hits, timely goal scoring, and good vision on the ice are all parts of what makes Brad Marchand a special player in the NHL. Coming off a fantastic rookie year with 21 goals and 41 points in 77 games, the rookie phenom is now currently without a contract. The Bruins have made Marchand a priority from day 1 of this offseason and were able to avoid arbitration. Both sides are however far apart in negotiating but still optimistic about getting the deal done as soon as possible.
“They know I want to be back here, and they want me back, so we’ll get something done,” said Marchand
It is clear Marchand wants to be wearing black & gold next year and the team wants him back. Marchand will likely earn somewhere in the $2.5-$3.5 million range over 2-4 years based upon the current NHL market. The question is how long will Bruin’s fans have to wait for number 63 to be a member of the B’s. From what has been released to the press, it seems this deal will likely get done within the next two weeks and definitely by the end of August.

The Bruins would be crazy not to sign Marchand!
